March 17, 2017 (Rocklin, CA)-- Today,  Roseville native Regina Bateson opened her campaign headquarters in Rocklin, CA and launched her direct voter contact efforts. Bateson’s campaign has lead the way in local support, in-district contributions, and grassroots momentum in the race against Tom McClintock for California’s 4th Congressional District.

This momentum has given Bateson a huge advantage, as her volunteers start channeling their energy towards reaching out to their friends, family, and community about the upcoming election. "I'm so grateful to all the volunteers and supporters who helped make this happen.” Bateson says “We really have the community behind us, and they’ve been instrumental in the movement for change we’ve seen across the District.”

A large American Flag hangs on the wall of the office, a gift from one of the campaign’s volunteers sent to him after retiring from Active Duty. The flag used to fly above the Capitol, and reminds the campaign team of who they’re fighting for, and where they hope to go. Bateson – a former Foreign Service Officer for the State Department, an award-winning social scientist, and the mother of three young children – is running for Congress to fight for the urgent, practical needs of working families in the 4th District.

Bateson is the first serious challenger against Rep. McClintock since 2008, when Democratic nominee Charlie Brown lost by less than 1,700 votes. “Something amazing is happening here. The people of the 4th District are mobilizing by the thousands and building a real movement,” she explained.

Team Bateson opened its office in suite A20 of the Campus Plaza Shopping Center, across the street from Sierra College and 2 doors down from the Measure E campaign office. Bateson has endorsed Measure E, a funding measure for Sierra College lead by a bipartisan coalition of  community leaders. Bateson’s campaign has an active college and high school intern program and is seeking applications for additional interns.

The office is located at 5050 Rocklin Road at the corner of Sierra College Blvd. The office is open 10am - 7pm weekdays, Saturday 10am- 6pm, and Sunday 1pm-6pm. To sign up to knock doors or make calls to your friends, neighbors, and community please contact
